UK Coaching Summit 2012: Session 5B Workforce Auditing has Real Impact
The session explained how the PGA and ASA are investing in the coaching workforce for the next 5 years. The PGA has used an audit of golf coaches to inform their business planning, to develop services and products that meet real need (and not perceived need) and to ensure their investment in the coaching workforce is a good return on investment (ROI). The ASA has focussed its recent attentions on the tutor/assessor workforce in response to changes in legislation and practice. Having conducted a robust audit of the workforce, they are now investing significant development time and money into new programmes to upskill the current tutor/assessor workforce and create a high quality programme of training and qualifications for future tutors/assessors
